New carrier's ticket sales begin Monday

The company announced today that reservations can be made through travel agencies or the airline's toll-free number, (888) 757-JETS.

National plans to offer nonstop service to Los Angeles and Chicago's Midway Airport on May 27, to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on June 14 and to San Francisco on June 24.

Federal regulators usually allow airlines to begin ticket sales a month in advance of service.

"We are very pleased that the Department of Transportation has granted our request to allow us the ability to begin selling our planned service more than a month prior to the inaugural," said Mike Conway, chief executive officer for the airline.

The airline still must be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration prior to the May 27 start-up.

The company, which is partnering with the Rio hotel-casino and the Las Vegas Harrah's hotel-casino and will have baggage check-in within their hotel lobbies, will offer travelers unlimited free stopovers in Las Vegas on cross-country flights.
