Donna C. Barwick, 47, of Las Vegas died April 6 in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 15, 1952, in Columbia, S.C. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her fiance, Daniel M. Brough of Pahrump; and her grandmother, Jewel Barwick of Thomasville, Ga.

American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.

Julie Bejar

Julie Bejar, 72, of Las Vegas died March 28 in a local hospital. She was born July 17, 1926, in the Philippines. A resident for eight years, she was a nurse's aide.

She is survived by two sons, Peter Gueviarra and Bobby Guieviarra of the Philippines; one daughter, Helen Bejar; and one sister, Gregora Del Rosario.

Visitation is scheduled 9:30-10:30 a.m. April 23 in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Vernon Burger

Vernon Burger, 78, of Pahrump died Thursday in a local care center. He was born Jan. 14, 1921, in Gary, Ind. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired newspaper printer, a musician, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Acacia Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite Bodies.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary C.; two daughters, Miriam Susan Campbell and Melissa Sharon Chavez, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Phyllis Burger of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Henry Campbell

Henry Campbell, 59, of Las Vegas died Friday in Salem, Ore. He was born May 11, 1939, in Rapid City, S.D. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired electrician, an Army veteran, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8 and the American Legion.

He is survived by one son, Jere Campbell of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kristie Jordan of Sandy Valley; one stepson, Mark Matlack of Salem; one sister, Vonnell Sproul of Idaho; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Maycliff Mobile Home Park. Burial will be private. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Al Clarke

Al Clarke, 64, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born March 14, 1935, in Merced, Calif. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired truck driver for a restaurant chain and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Gene; three daughters, Carolyn Dakan of Golden, Colo., Dawn Burton of Sacramento and Denice Bower of Henderson; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Saturday with a 4 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

David Grey Devitt

David Grey Devitt, 52, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 7, 1946, in Ohio. A resident for eight months, he was a union conventioneer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy; and two brothers, Dale and Dwight.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

John D'Aura Jr.

John D'Aura Jr., 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 25, 1932, in New York City. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired Army lieutenant colonel and a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran and a member of the Retired Officers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; three daughters, Jeannette Frick and Catherine D'Aura, both of Las Vegas, and Elizabeth Harrison of Stafford, Va.; two sons, John D'Aura and Paul D'Aura, both of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11:30 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Bianca Gaona

Bianca Gaona, 12, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 18, 1986, in Las Vegas. She was a Sylvestri Junior High School student.

She is survived by her parents, Neil and Loreto Gaona, her stepparents, Eve and Jeff Whitehead, one sister, Ella Gaona, and one brother, Chandler Whitehead, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be noon Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

Michael Gigante

Michael Gigante, 33, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 28, 1965, in Myrtle Beach, S.C. A resident for 32 years, he owned and operated a landscaping business.

He is survived by one daughter, Rachel LaBont Gigante, and his parents, Marie and Charles W. Gigante, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Joan Marie Gigante of Toronto and Sherry Lundguist and Lorraine Gigante, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1-6 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Jones.

Gable Hillery Sr.

Gable Hillery Sr., 79, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born June 30, 1919, in Woodville, Miss. A resident for seven years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Rosetta; four sons, Jackie Hillery of New Orleans and Michael Hillery, Russell Hillery and Gabriel Hillery III, all of Henderson; three daughters, Sheryl Johnson and Zola Lee, both of Henderson, and Amanda Parnell of Las Vegas; 25 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

William Henry Hollins III

William Henry Hollins III, 71, died Tuesday at a local hospital. He was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Nashville, Tenn. A resident for 19 years, he worked in maintenance in casinos.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Laverne; five sons, Gilbert, Michael, Antonio, Bill and Aaron; one sister, Vanita Ryales of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Saturday at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.

Odessa H. Jasper

Odessa H. Jasper, 63, of Las Vegas died April 8 in a local hospital. A resident for many years, she was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Monroe, La.

She is survived by her husband, Lihue; one son, Torrence Byron; one sister, Myra Holmes; two brothers, Frank Holmes Jr. and Tommy Robinson; and many foster sisters and brothers.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Nick Mathew Kubishta

Nick Mathew Kubishta, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 12, 1925, in Dickenson, N.D. A resident for five years, he was a retired mill worker in the paper and plywood industry after 33 years, a World War II and Korean War Seabee and Marine Corps veteran and a member of the 91st Seabee Battalion.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; three daughters, Geraldine Methvin and Sandra Smith, both of Salem, Ore., and Ruth Draper of Coos Bay, Ore.; four sons, Richard Kubishta and Joseph Kubishta, both of Salem, and Dennis Kubishta and James Kubishta, both of Las Vegas; five brothers, Joe Kubishta, August Kubishta and Antonio Kubishta, all of Salem, Frank Kubishta of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Jack Kubishta of Oregon City, Ore.; one sister, Irene Lathrop of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Gerald Meuli

Gerald Meuli, 70, of Las Vegas died March 28 in a local hospital. He was born March 8, 1929, in Chippewa Falls, Wis. A resident for many years, he was a high school band director, a woodworker and cabinetmaker.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Kiichi Koga of Las Vegas; one son, Michael Meuli of Appleton, Wis.; one daughter, Marypat Meuli of Seattle; two sisters, Judith Meuli of Los Angeles and Yvonne Hebert of Chippewa Falls; one brother, Allan Meuli of Minneapolis; and two grandsons.

A memorial service and reception will be 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the Canyon Willow Association Clubhouse, 5205 Caspian Spring Drive. Neptune Society of Nevada, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Building 5, is handling arrangements.

Tom S. Panos

Tom S. Panos, 96, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 23, 1902, in Messinia, Greece. A resident for 60 years, he was a real estate investor and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma A.; one brother, Peter Panagopoulos of Las Vegas; and one sister, Theodoule Mamatogianes of Athens, Greece.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. services today in St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 S. El Camino Road. Additional services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist, Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Mikal Collin Pratt

Mikal Collin Pratt, 27, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 15, 1971, in Flint, Mich. A resident for 21 years, he was a laborer in the fishing industry and attended Clark High School.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Jean and Collin Pratt of Las Vegas; his mother, Linda J. Pratt of Perrinton, Mich.; one sister, Sheila Pratt of Michigan.

Services and burial are private. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Franklin F. Shank

Franklin F. Shank, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Jan. 24, 1923, in West Virginia. A resident for three years, he was an equipment repairman for a coin service and an Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by one son, Mark J. Shank.
