Police order traffic upgrades at resort

Security personnel had been closing the U.S. 90 turn lane on busy weekend nights when traffic backed up and blocked intersections.

Security had instructed motorists to take a different route to the garage.

The Sun Herald newspaper reported Councilman Mike Fitzpatrick questioned the practice because some motorists were making illegal U-turns, creating traffic hazards.
