County planner moves in with TRPA offices

The commission on Thursday voted 3-2 to try the plan on a six-month trial basis.
Supporters believe the planner will lessen the burden on Lake Tahoe's other jurisdictions, expediting projects throughout the basin. If it works out, supporters say other governmental agencies could follow the county's lead.
But opponents say it's unfair for county taxpayers to support another planner for the TRPA, which is charged with governing growth at the lake.
