City Council considers downtown site for new city hall

Tentative plans call for a developer to build the city hall complex, then lease it back to the city.

The estimated cost of the project is $42 million.

City officials will accept proposals for three months.

Public Works Director Steve Varela said staff hopes to choose a site and complete negotiations for a lease agreement by December.
