Letter: Marijuana should not be prescribed

Drugs destroy lives, not save them. I don't see what kind of painkilling marijuana will provide that other medicine cannot. Why resort to illegal drugs?

They were made illegal for a reason. Next we'll be hearing about how cocaine should be legalized because it numbs the pain.

People used to laugh at the phrase "Just Say No." This is their alternative?
