EPA honors Henderson bird-viewing reserve

The Henderson Bird Viewing Reserve was recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for creating an 80-acre bird watching site around the city's waste water reclamation ponds.
EPA Regional Administrator Felicia Marcus presented plaques Thursday to Henderson officials.
The EPA Region 9 Office in San Francisco presented awards to 36 groups and individuals from more than 100 nominees.
