Letter: Send nuclear waste to a fiery death

Burying the stuff anywhere is not very smart, and everyone is against it, because wherever they decide is going to be in "somebody's back yard."

The whole situation appears to be just another political tool for those in politics to leverage their power. Let's just get rid of it -- permanently.

No, I'm not in favor of nuclear waste being buried anywhere, even in the remotest desert site, unless we had the technology to send it so dead it joined molten lava within the earth.

Then it could be mixed with the other "hot" chemicals and be changed. However, I like the idea of sending it to the sun a lot better.
