Eighth-grader arrested in bomb threat at Lake Tahoe

The suspect was arrested after allegedly bragging to other students about phoning in the threat that caused an evacuation of the school Monday afternoon, police said.

The other students reported the comments to police investigators.

Police wouldn't say whether the suspect was a boy or a girl. But they said the youth already was serving a suspension from the school.

The eighth grader has been charged with making a bomb threat. Adults convicted of that crime face up to three years in prison.
