Letter: Responsibility rests with parents

Too many parents today have lost control of their children because they didn't start correcting and teaching them manners and respect early in life -- this is not the teacher's job, these things should be taught at home. If you have to use a stick, so be it. If you start from day one, by the time they are teenagers you will have no problem.

How can a kid have a pipe bomb factory in his home and his parents not know it? They must be blind or just don't give a damn.

If parents were held responsible for the actions of their children, I'm sure they would pay more attention to what they were doing.

Wake up, America, and take control of your children.
