Letter: Cartoon unfair to gun owners

What I don't understand is why he is implying that all members of the NRA or any law-abiding gun owner is a member of the "Black Trench Coat Mafia." If a person enjoys shooting skeet, target shooting, hunting or any activity using a gun he's automatically classified a "Black Trench Coat Mafia" member? Would he please clarify this?

The cartoon in essence says because I enjoy skeet shooting or hunting I fall under this category.
