Letter: Clinton back to misstating facts
Sunday, Aug. 1, 1999 | 11:44 a.m.
Clinton has bragged that John F. Kennedy Jr. had not been back to the White House until he was invited back by the Clinton administration. He further embellished this endearing story by claiming that he was the first president to offer to show JFK Jr. the presidential quarters.
What about Presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan hosting JFK Jr. at the White House? Was this a figment of the American people's imagination?
While visiting, the young Kennedy was shown by Nixon where his room had been. Moreover, the youngster also spilled his milk while sitting on Nixon's lap. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't Nixon and Reagan presidents before Clinton?
This lie by Clinton is further proof that we cannot trust one word uttered by our president. When we will ever learn?
