American ready to integrate Reno Air flights at McCarran

American Airlines said it plans to fully integrate Reno Air into its system on Aug. 31. The addition of Reno Air flights will give American 38 daily departures to nine cities from Las Vegas.

American will assume 23 daily Reno Air flights from Las Vegas, including five nonstop flights to Reno, three to Colorado Springs, two to Oklahoma City, five to Los Angeles, five to San Jose and three to Orange County, Calif. The former Reno Air flights will complement American and American Eagle's Las Vegas schedule of 15 daily flights to three cities -- Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare and Los Angeles International Airport.

Reservations already made on Reno Air for flights on or after Aug. 31 will automatically transfer to American Airlines flights. On Aug. 31, Reno Air's ticket counter will be consolidated with American's in the main terminal, and Reno Air's gates will move from McCarran International Airport's Concourse A to consolidate with American Airlines' five gates in Concourse D.

American also will transfer more than 400 Las Vegas Reno Air Reservations Center employees to its payroll on Aug. 31. It will be renamed the American Airlines Las Vegas Reservations Office. American appointed Sally Gilroy-Roff as its LVRO branch manager. Gilroy-Roff previously was a domestic sales manager at AA's reservations office in Cary, N.C.
