LV team wins Norway Cup

The Las Vegas Tabogators defeated Vaalerenga of Norway 2-1 Saturday to win the Norway Cup girls 16-under soccer tournament in Oslo.

The Las Vegas team's superior passing and teamwork once again were evident as Vaalerenga, one of the best girls teams in Norway, was simply outplayed and outfought.

Vanesha Bailey scored both goals for Las Vegas. After the game she received the golden boot as tournament's top scorer. But she had plenty of help. Throughout the cup, the Las Vegas girls played as a unit with a crisp passing game and were rock solid throughout all facets of the game.

The Las Vegas girls paraded the American flag proudly to the cheers of their new fans in the national soccer stadium. The game was nationally televised on Norwegian TV.
