Serenade condo owners sue builder

Serenade Homeowners Association of Henderson filed suit against Falcon Construction Services Inc., alleging construction defects in its 180-unit condominium complex at 1851 Hillpoint Road.

The plaintiff alleged in the District Court suit the condominium units "lacked structural integrity and safety," had defective "plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical and fire safety systems" and had sustained water intrusion and damages.

Serenade Homeowners said Falcon's construction practices violated industry standards, government codes, ordinances and restrictions, manufacturer requirements and product specifications.

"We disagree with the blanket statements Serenade had alleged in the suit, and we look forward to adjudicating the issues in court," said Don Bennion, Falcon's attorney. "We are confident that when the issues are put before the jury, Falcon would be seen as a reliable contractor in the community that it is."
