Hearing for Taco Bell shooter delayed

CARSON CITY, Nev. - A preliminary hearing has been postponed until next month for a 19-year-old Carson City man accused of shooting two people at a Taco Bell.

Michael Johnson remained in the Carson City jail Thursday on two counts of attempted murder. He was being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Johnson is accused of shooting two people outside the fast food restaurant on South Carson Street. Several witnesses were subpoenaed to testify at a hearing scheduled Wednesday.

But defense lawyers said they needed more time to review police reports and local prosecutors said they wouldn't object to a delay.

The new hearing is set for Sept. 9 in Carson City Justice Court.
