Henderson firm expands with acquisition

PostNet International Franchise Corp., Henderson, said it acquired assets of Shipping Connection, a division of West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Speedy Sign-A-Rama USA Inc.
Terms were not disclosed.
PostNet took possession of 21 franchise agreements, trademarks and other intellectual property of Shipping Connection, affecting stores in Colorado, Minnesota, Georgia, Florida, Ohio, New Jersey, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The company expects to convert six to eight more franchises by the end of 1999.
The new stores will take on the PostNet name. Speedy will continue to operate as a sign manufacturing business.
PostNet offers professional packaging and worldwide shipping services, private mailbox rentals, faxes, key duplication and several other services from 600 locations worldwide, including about 25 locations in Las Vegas.
