Man arrested after apartment fire

Las Vegas Fire Department investigators have arrested a man in connection with an apartment fire.

Arthur Otto Simpson, 32, of Las Vegas, was charged with burglary, intent to commit a felony and first-degree arson.

Investigators say Simpson broke into an apartment at 2805 Wyandotte St., off Rancho Drive near Desert Inn Road, about 5 a.m. Wednesday and set fire to a bed. No one was home at the time of the fire.

Investigators say Simpson made threats against someone who lived in the apartment. Simpson was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
