Revenue up for Spaghetti Bowl contractor

The Phoenix-based contractor rebuilding the Spaghetti Bowl freeway interchange in Las Vegas reported a 26 percent increase in earnings based on record second-quarter revenue.

Meadow Valley Corp. said its second-quarter net income was $677,000, or 19 cents per diluted share, compared with $536,000, 15 cents per diluted share, in the quarter ending June 30, 1998.

Revenue increased 17 percent to a second-quarter record $54.2 million from $46.3 million a year earlier.
