Nicholas Lord Jackson, 28, was convicted of felony coercion in May when he wielded a knife while searching for his estranged girlfriend.
He admitted to Judge David Huff this week that he had used alcohol and kept the knives despite probation rules to the contrary.
Huff sentenced him to 28 to 72 months in the Nevada State Prison. He earlier was convicted of using a knife during a drunken episode in November 1998.
