Letter: Where was press at Tiffany funeral?

He spent 30 years entertaining audiences as a trombone player in various bands on the Strip and devoted much of his latter years to teaching children how to hone their musical talents.

The attendees at his funeral included many retired musicians who paid tribute to this fine man who contributed to the community in so many positive ways, including through his church.

No press attended Mr. Tiffany's funeral. His passing was noted publicly by a one-paragraph obituary.

The next day, both local daily newspapers (and probably most of the television stations) sent reporters and photographers to "cover" the pauper's funeral of Arthur Bennett, a man whose contribution to the world included killing a man to fake his own death, molesting children, and committing suicide. This disgusting human being's funeral made front page news of both papers, complete with color photographs of the event!

No human beings attended Mr. Bennett's funeral.

These same two newspapers have the gall to attack each other in editorial columns about their poor or tainted coverage of local events, while their news staff tripped over each other to cover an alleged news story that no one wants to know about or read about.
