LV company in Swiss deal

Las Vegas-based slot designer Anchor Gaming said its Automated Wagering International Inc. lottery systems subsidiary signed a contract to provide hardware and software for the Swiss lottery.

The contract, whose value wasn't disclosed, calls for AWI to convert current Swiss lottery and Toto games to a new on-line network with centralized game management and control.

Beginning in the fourth quarter of 2000, the program will incorporate new touchscreen retailer terminals made by Siemens Nixdorf Retail & Banking Systems.
