Mildred J. Brame

Mildred J. Brame, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born July 15, 1911, in Los Angeles. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Richard S. Kumler of Las Vegas.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., handled arrangements.

Wilba 'Billie' Clark

Wilba "Billie" Clark, 87, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born May 21, 1912, in Cedar City, Utah. A resident for 57 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Connie Rae Stewart of Boulder City; and one son, Bob Clark of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Saturday in the 5th Street LDS Chapel, Boulder City. Burial will be in the Boulder City Cemetery.

Charles E. Galloway

Charles E. Galloway, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 5, 1932, in Hastings, Neb. A resident for 51 years, he was a school counselor, a Navy veteran and a member of C.C. Retirement.

He is survived by two daughters, Karen Marconi and Shannon Rasmussen; one sister, Jody Hall; and three grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society is handling arrangements.

John W. Green Sr.

John W. Green Sr., 58, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 20, 1940, in Natchez, Miss. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired foreman in the electrical industry, and a member of IBEW.

He is survived by his wife, Wynell; three sons, Fredrick Wayne Green and John William Green Jr., both of Las Vegas, and Herbert Earl Green of Indian Springs; three daughters, Cynthia Diann Crutchfield and Andrea Marie Green, both of Las Vegas, and Jo Ann Cyrs of Los Angeles; one aunt, Beatrice Brown of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Community Baptist Church, 245 E. Foster Ave., Henderson.

The Family suggests donations to the Community Baptist Church Scholarship Fund.

Joanne Grudzien

Joanne Grudzien, 55, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 1, 1943, in Minneapolis. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; two daughters, Christine Davy of Las Vegas and Debra Grudzien of Seattle.; two sons, Mark Grudzien and John Grudzien, both of Seattle; her mother, Angela Curran, two sisters, Kathleen Marrin and Maryann Schermann, one brother, John Curran, all of Minneapolis; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Friday in Christ the King Catholic Church.

Wilma J. House

Wilma J. House, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 21, 1913, in Missouri. A resident for 46 years, she was a accountant and legal secretary for a law firm.

He is survived by one son, David Grigor of North Las Vegas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Gary Lee 'G.L.' Kern

Gary Lee "G.L." Kern, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1940, in St. Louis. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired limo driver, retired local race track photographer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Miriam; two daughters, Janis Sizemore of Kearnehy, Neb., and Liza Gannon of Las Vegas; one sister, Annette Goldman of St. Louis; and two grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society is handling arrangements.

Susan Klimowski

Susan Klimowski, 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 19, 1953, in Illinois. A resident for nine months, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; and her parents, Robert and Alice Gurgel of Lynwood, Ill.

Robert A. Mc Cormick Jr.

Robert A. Mc Cormick Jr., 48, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 10, 1951, in Chicago. A resident for 25 years, he was a planning civil engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Carey; one daughter, Jennifer Mc Cormick and one son, Shawn Mc Cormick, both of Las Vegas; his father, Robert Mc Cormick Sr. of Peoria, Ill.; his mother, Florence Mc Cormick of Maine; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in the Community Lutheran Church. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

William McIllwain

William McIllwain, 72, of Las Vegas died Aug. 16 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Tennessee. A resident for four years, he was a body shop owner.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; two sons, William McIllwain and Gary McIllwain; one daughter, Kathleen Anaya; one brother, Dennis McIllwain; and four sisters, Melba Andrews, Gail McIllwain, Joyce Gimble and Shirley Stromenn.

A memorial service will be 10-noon Saturday at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Phillip Aaron Moniz

Phillip Aaron Moniz, 30, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 25, 1969, in California. A resident for 10 months, he was a laborer in the construction industry.

He is survived by his mother, Darlene Moniz of Aptos, Calif.

Rae M. Royer

Rae M. Royer, 87, of Boulder City died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 11, 1911, in Sweetwater, Okla. A resident for 61 years, she was a retired budgeting manager for the federal government.

Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday in Boulder City Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Louanne M. Schrieken

Louanne M. Schrieken, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 7, 1928, in Nebraska. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired waitress.

She is survived by her husband, Harry of Sandy Valley; one son, James Dewilms of Modesto, Calif.; one daughter, Jerrianne Dewilms of Las Vegas; and many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Raymond A. Smith

Raymond A. Smith, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 17, 1928, in Oakland, Calif. A resident for two years, he was a retired county government fireman, retired Navy veteran of 34 years and a 15- year fireman in Kern County, Calif.

He is survived by his wife, Van D.; one daughter, Susan Mann of Las Vegas; two sons, Jerry L. Thornton of Vancouver, Wash., and Owen Ketcham of Centralia, Wash.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was scheduled at 8:30 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Pearline Spencer

Pearline Spencer, 86, of Las Vegas died Aug. 17 in Las Vegas. She was born March 29, 1913, in Ore City, Texas. A resident for 21 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Douglas R. McCain of Las Vegas and Alfred Lee McCain of Tyler, Texas; two brothers, Herbert Alexander of Stockton, Calif., and Richard Edward Alexander of Ore City; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday in Bunker Chapel, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion Methodist Church, 2108 N. Revere St.

Buddy E. Uphoff

Buddy E. Uphoff, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 22, 1939, in North Hollywood, Calif. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired hotel bellman.

He is survived by his companion, Sandra Bobbera; two daughters, Sheryl Cox and Janet Uphoff, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Janet Ruggles of Las Vegas and Leah Jo Miller of Washington state; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Harbor House, 3910 Pecos McLeod, Building D. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. is handling arrangements.

Robert H. Wherrey, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born April 5, 1920, in Racine, Wis. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired electrical engineer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Kelly of Las Vegas; three sons, Thomas Wherrey of Escondido, Calif., Gary Taylor of Provo, Utah, and Ron Taylor of Grants Pass, Ore.; one sister, Mary Alexander of Loves Park, Ill.; one brother, George Wherrey of Lake Bluff, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
