Keon Clark pleads guilty in domestic violence case

Former UNLV and current Denver Nugget basketball player Keon Clark has pleaded guilty to a simple battery charge in a plea bargain that resolves a year-old domestic violence case.

Clark, whose true name is listed in court records as Arian Clark, was charged on Aug. 17, 1998, with "choking or punching" Cheryl Huffman, his girlfriend at the time.

Justice of the Peace Doug Smith ordered Clark to donate $2,000 to the Shade Tree Shelter for battered women.

If that is done by Nov. 29, the charge will be further reduced to disorderly conduct.

Clark's attorney, Steve Stein, could not be reached for comment.
