Letter: Holocaust council appreciates article

I am deeply grateful for the article in Sunday's Sun, "Holocaust library educating Las Vegans," and am flattered by Steve Marcus' photo of me on your front page.
Stacy Willis is a magnificent journalist and did justice to the many factors that contributed to the complexities and support that have made our success possible in the State of Nevada.
Understandably, not everyone could possibly have been mentioned in the article, but in my "mind's eye" standing next to me in the photo are: Roz Sbarra, Karla McComb, Myra Berkovits, Phyllis Darling, Miriam and Sheldon Adelson, Lillian and Henry Kronberg and Judy and Ron Mack (founders of the new Holocaust Library in Reno).
If there were room it would also include every Clark County School District superintendent from Kenny Guinn to Brian Cram, state Superintendent of Education Mary Peterson, the state legislators who have been supportive with their votes and countless teachers who have spent hours of their time learning "How to Teach the Holocaust."
And I would like to add the Nevada Humanities Committee and the Nate Mack B'nai B'rith for their financial support.
Above all, I wish to add the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas, in whose building we have been housed for 20 years and who have given us the utmost financial and encouraging support.
We are located at 3909 S. Maryland Parkway and visitors are most welcome to peruse our books, videos, maps and special artifacts and materials.
Our telephone number is 732-0556; ask for our dedicated librarian, Carole Helfand.
