Letter: Mandalay Bay mistreats fans

Who does Mandalay Bay think they are? First they buy up the tickets for the De Le Hoya-Trinidad fight and then they buy all the ringside tickets for the Floyd Mayweather fight.

My boyfriend and I are flying out there to see the Mayweather fight Sept. 11. My boyfriend's father went to the Mandalay Bay ticket office at 10 a.m. the first day tickets went on sale. Not only was he the first one in line, he was the only one in line.

When they opened the window and he told the agent he wanted four $200 ringside seats, he was told they were sold out. When we called the ticket office ourselves, we were told that Mandalay Bay bought up those tickets.

My boyfriend has been going to Las Vegas for the past 10 years for fights, and he said he has never seen any hotel treat fans this way. I think the true boxing fan should know that if they plan on seeing fights at Mandalay Bay, plan on paying a big amount for ringside seats, because you will have to stay there at the hotel (and pay double the amount for a room) to do so.
