Letter: Tracy was to blame in wreck

Regarding your story on the Paul Tracy-Michael Andretti crash ("Crash puts damper on Paul Tracy's title hopes," Aug. 23): Did Brian Hilderbrand actually watch the Target Grand Prix? Did he see ABC's replays?

I was there and I watched the tape afterwards. What a "homer" piece you wrote. Tracy is a menace on the track and everyone involved with the series knows it (as does anyone with a scanner who has listened to his crew constantly trying to calm him down during races). Too much (guts) combined with too little brain. Call it like it is.
