Construction manager sues school district

The Clark County School District's construction manager, Parsons-Fleming-Taylor, has filed a lawsuit against the district seeking more than $3.9 million.

The district hired Parsons-Fleming-Taylor to manage its 1994 school bond program, the construction of 25 new schools and the renovation of dozens of others. The lawsuit says the district hired the company in April 1995 for a maximum $25.7 millionto oversee the project.

The suit says the district demanded the company perform tasks not in the original contract, including the oversight of construction of Lied Middle School, conducting various cost analyses, and conducting building code inspections.
