Letter: Reader likes idea of pedestrian bridge

Give Steve and Sheldon what they want if it will save the lives of tourists. However, make them pour enough money and ideas into the bridge to where it takes a life of its own.

Envision, if you will, a miniature Golden Gate with vertically prominent lights that make it The Way to cross ... the most beautiful bridge in Vegas.

I must disagree with Storm that the brains are in the private sector. Neither we nor the county planners are employed by the private sector. Where are the brains when an established hotel like the Aladdin must wrestle with another entity to have its rights respected above those of an unborn hotel?

The Aladdin is a grandfather. Both the public and private sector should show their respect, or have we come to a time and place where we teach our kids not to respect their elders.
