Fishing Report -- February 3, 1999

LAKE MEAD: Even though boaters are locating schools of striped bass with their fish finders, they're having little luck as the lethargic fish are reluctant to bite.

About the only action for stripers was found at Hemenway Harbor following last week's rainbow trout plant. Trolling in the Hemenway area has also produced a few stripers for those willing to spend lots of time on the water.

LAKE MOHAVE: Last Wednesday's rainbow trout plant at Cottonwood Cove failed to produce any action for boaters who were waiting for striped bass to appear. The only large fish taken was a 12.8-pound striper that was caught Saturday across the lake from Cottonwood.
