Brief: Company to focus on Internet auctions

Todd Axelrod, president and chief executive officer, said the gallery closure concludes a 3 1/2-year shift away from store-based retailing to its online presence at www.galleryofhistory.com.

The company also announced an alliance with The CollectingChannel, an Internet content provider for collectors based in Norfolk, Va. The company's Friends of The CollectingChannel organization and Gallery of History are now the lead content providers in original historical autographs and manuscripts for sale in auctions.
