Letter: Robinson called a hypocrite

Concerning the Sun's Feb. 1 story "Robinson's arrest (for solicitating a sex act from an undercover police officer) may have distracted Falcons." It certainly didn't help them. Further, he played a lousy game.

Then the sanctimonious Robinson says "I truly love my wife and kids ... "

Patronizing prostitutes with the possibility of sexually transmitted diseases is a poor way of showing it.

Robinson has an image of a fine, upstanding, moral-living Christian, so much so that teammates called him "The Prophet."

I postulate the facts show Robinson is a despicable, deceitful hypocrite. He was always talking about God, etc., indicating his status as a role model. Further, just hours before soliciting sex for $40, Robinson had received a Humanitarian of the Year award, largely based on his religious and moral persona.

If he is a man of integrity and true repentance, he will return the award.
