MUSEUM EXHIBIT

An exhibit at the Clark County Heritage Museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway, offers a glimpse into the lives of children educated in prairie schoolhouses, through March 14. The museum is open from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily. Admission is $1.50 for adults; $1 for children and seniors.

IRISH EXHIBIT

CLASSIC PERFORMED

The Russian National Ballet will perform a full-length version of Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty" at 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at UNLV's Artemus Ham Concert Hall. Directing the company of 50 dancers is Sergei Radchenko, formerly a principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet. NEW EXHIBITS

COMEDY CALL

The Comedy Stop at the Tropicana hotel-casino is asking aspiring standup comics to compete in its seventh annual "Number One Fool Contest." Contestants should submit a five-minute VHS or cassette tape of tasteful schtick to the club, located on the mezzanine level of the hotel, 3801 Las Vegas Blvd. South, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily.

Those selected will perform on a Wednesday night through March 24; winners of the weekly competition will perform in the finals on April 1, when celebrity judges will choose a grand prize winner, who will be awarded $1,000 and the chance to perform at the club on a Saturday night.
