Vereen added to cast for 'Chicago'

Vereen, who has starred on the Las Vegas Strip in past years, will be returning next month to star in the musical "Chicago," at the new Mandalay Bay Hotel-Casino.
Vereen will co-star with singer/dancer Chita Rivera.
Vereen, a Tony award winner who starred in Broadway's "Sweet Charity," "Hair,", "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Pippin," will play the role of attorney Billy Flynn in the "Chicago" production.
His movie credits include "All That Jazz" and "Funny Lady," and television credits include "Roots" and "Ellis Island."
Over the years Vereen has starred at several resorts here, including the Desert Inn, Caesars Palace, Las Vegas Hilton, Sahara and Bally's.
"Chicago" opens for a media preview March 2, and to the general public March 3.
