America West, the No. 2 carrier at McCarran, has shifted some flights from leisure destinations like Las Vegas to more lucrative business routes.
Southwest Airlines, the No. 1 carrier in Las Vegas, posted an increase of 9.2 percent in December. United Airlines was up 9.5 percent, Delta was up 1.1 percent and Reno Air was up 15.8 percent.
