Juanita L. Baker, 70, of Las Vegas died Jan. 30 in Las Vegas. She was born May 20, 1928, in Dunkirk, N.Y. A resident for 38 years, she was a waitress for 32 years at the Golden Gate hotel-casino and a member of the Culinary Union.
She is survived by three brothers, Preston Hill of Tucson, Ariz., Arthur Hill of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Clayton Hill of Vacaville, Calif.; and two sisters, Ruth H. Dempsey of Tucson and Ramona Rube of Lompoc, Calif.
A private burial will be at Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
'Squeaky' Russell Eugene Butche
"Squeaky" Russell Eugene Butche, 50, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 1, 1948, in Marion, Ind. A resident for 36 years, he was a journeyman ironworker.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Y.; one daughter, Carrie Roberts, and his mother, Dolores Butche, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, David Parker and Joe Vrban, both of Knoxville, Iowa; two sisters, Karen Bowman of Tonto Basin, Ariz., and Linda Rusk of Las Vegas; and one grandson, Ryan Roberts of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Theresa M. Farrow
Theresa M. Farrow, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born June 20, 1920, in North Carolina. A resident for 29 years, she was a motion picture actress.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny; and one sister, Mary Eaton of Dayton, Ohio.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Cremation will be arranged by Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.
Hazel C. Freeman
Hazel C. Freeman, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 16, 1918, in Chicago. A resident for three years, she was a retired civil service customer service representative.
She is survived by one sister, Thelma Lewis of Las Vegas.

Lindy Hembree aka Dora Belle
Lindy Hembree aka Dora Belle, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 16, 1916, in Oklahoma. A resident for eight years, she was in the real estate business.
She is survived by one sister, Gene Countryman.

Willie Lee Holmes
Willie Lee Holmes, 61, of Las Vegas died Feb. 2 in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 18, 1938, in Pineville, La. A resident for nine years, she was a retired health-care provider.
She is survived by two daughters, Gale (Holmes) Brown and Michelle Holmes, and one son, Van Holmes, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Evelyn Sutton and Joyce O'Bryant, both of Quincy, Mass., and Maxine Sutton and Bobbie Johnson, both of Pomona, Calif.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in College Park Baptist Church, 2101 E. Owens Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Anna M. Hope
Anna M. Hope, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 22, 1935, in Michigan. A resident for 31 years, she was a food server at the Las Vegas Country Club and a retired member of the Culinary Union.
She is survived by one son, William J. Hope of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Charles Brett and Robert Brett, both of Michigan.
A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Louise Vincenza Morell
Louise Vincenza Morell, 82, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospice. She was born May 8, 1916, in Ohio. A resident for one year, she was a retail sales clerk.
She is survived by two sons, Basil Morell of Henderson and Ralph Morell of Boulder City; one daughter, Johanna Rodriguez, and two brothers, Nick Liberato and Angelo Liberato, all of Ohio; three sisters, Julia Marzio and Theresa Leporis, both of Ohio and Madeline Murray of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Willie J. Newell
Willie J. Newell, 46, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 20, 1952, in Tyler, Ala. A resident for seven years, he was a retired Air Force master sergeant, a Vietnam War veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Linda A.; two sons, Jobe Salter Jr. and Larry L. Salter, and one daughter, Son-Ja Nakia Newell, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Annette Newell of Queens, N.Y.; four sisters; five brothers; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Louise Elizabeth Tussing
Louise Elizabeth Tussing, 85, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local health care center. She was born Aug. 4, 1913, in Nampa, Idaho. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired bookkeeper in the banking industry for 25 years.
She is survived by one son, Frank R. Tussing of Las Vegas; one daughter, Frances Maza of Emmett, Idaho; one sister, Jane Moe of Newport, Ore.; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Robert C. Webb
Robert C. Webb, 84, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born May 19, 1914, in Cleveland County, Okla. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired steel company salesman and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Diane Kirkland of Henderson; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
