CCSN: Gorman's Chambers withdraws

Bishop Gorman coach Tim Chambers has withdrawn from consideration for the Community College of Southern Nevada's new baseball coaching position, citing "family reasons and personal goals" for his decision.

"There were some personal goals I had set that I hadn't accomplished yet, and I also wanted to spend more time with my 4-year-old," Chambers said.

Chambers, who led the Gaels into the 4A state tournament last spring and into the American Legion World Series last summer, was one of four finalists for the job. The other finalists are former Green Valley coach Rodger Fairless, current CCSN club coach Chris Pfatenhauer and an unidentified out-of-state candidate.
