Letter: Adamsen represents Las Vegas well

I was introduced to him by a college friend, Mr. Nazerechuk of UNLV, as a fellow Las Vegan. For the three days that I observed Mr. Adamsen and his staff, I never saw them rest at all.

They were always on the run. Always going here or there. Always promoting Las Vegas, giving out city pins by the dozens to various dignitaries such as the presidents of local airlines and businesses, hotel owners and local financial people.

He was gracious enough to invite me to their small party held in one of the finest hotels in Seoul, (which was not paid for by Las Vegas, but by a local business group) which was attended by high government and business figures.

He made a speech in which he did nothing but say what a great city Las Vegas was and how they would welcome anyone from Korea to come and see our fine city for themselves.

Therefore, why would anyone such as Ms. Peters say that the Sister Cities program will not work when she does not have the proper information or the knowledge to say these things?

I for one, was very proud to be a Las Vegan after his speech.

I think the city of Las Vegas should be proud indeed of the job that Mr. Adamsen is doing for our city and would ask that perhaps Ms. Peters should walk a mile in Mr. Adamsen's shoes (bet she would collapse from exhaustion) before stating her belief of the facts.
