Brief: Seminars set on problem gaming, scams

A Feb. 23 seminar on new state problem gaming rules is at 6 p.m. on the second floor of the Boardwalk hotel-casino. Participants include gaming attorney Bob Faiss, Gaming Control Board member Dennis Neilander, Mirage Resorts executive Punam Mathur and Carol O'Hare of the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling.
A Feb. 24 seminar features George Josephs, executive director of surveillance at Bally's hotel-casino, discussing the most recent scams aimed at blackjack and suggested countering tactics. This seminar is at 5 p.m. at the Community College of Southern Nevada's Cheyenne campus.
