Battle Mountain teen killed in car accident

The Nevada Highway Patrol said Virgil Umland, 15, was killed when he was ejected from a car driven by Thomas Wayne Martin, 16.

Martin's car was westbound on State Route 410 on Friday night when it went out of control on a curve, left the roadway and rolled several times.

Martin and passenger Jay Thomas Norman, 15, were taken to hospitals with injuries.

None of the teens wore a seat belt.
