Brief: Resorts nominated as 'casino of the year'

Voting criteria include the quality of country performers who have appeared at the 10 hotel-casinos during the past year and the quality of the venue in which they performed.
Other finalists are the Las Vegas Hilton, Casino Magic in Biloxi, Miss.; the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos in Connecticut; the Horseshoe and Sam's Town in Robinsville, Miss.; the Riverside in Laughlin; the Soaring Eagle in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; and the Vegas Kewadian in Sault St. Marie, Mich.
Boulder Station said its country performers at its Railhead venue in the past year included the Dixie Chicks, Toby Keith, Mel Tillis, Lee Greenwood, Ty Herndon, David Kersh, the Kinleys, Tracy Byrd and Ronnie Milsap.
