Elroy Nunez, 17, died Saturday from a gunshot wound in the incident. He was with an unidentified 20-year-old who remained in critical condition Monday at University Medical Center. An 18-year-old passenger was not injured.
Las Vegas homicide Lt. Wayne Petersen said Byron Jose Angulo, 15, Christian Jose Angulo, 19, Peter Miguel Cumplido, 18, and Matthew Cumplido, 14, were arrested after the 8:30 p.m. shooting. Also arrested was Gustavo Aranda Cumplido, 38.
All five were booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of murder with a weapon and two counts of attempted murder with a weapon.
Police believe the shooting started after occupants of a white pickup shot a weapon at 15-year-old Byron Angulo.
Angulo and the other four then gave chase to the white pickup. Police said the suspects caught up to the pickup, pulled in front of it and opened fire with a shotgun and handgun.
Petersen said the suspects then called police to report the shooting.
