Letter: Lake Mead speed deadly for dogs

I'm happy to say that there are human-kind amongst the other drivers, one did stop. This driver and his passenger dragged the dog to the curb, then they covered it with a blanket. These two humans, after calling the animal center, waited until the truck arrived and the driver loaded the dog.

The going speed on Lake Mead and Sloan is between 55 and 60 mph. I would like to know why?, The speed limit 45 mph. If the police would patrol the area near Sloan instead of up around Hollywood I believe it would slow these lead foots down.

When you look at it, while the police are writing a ticket, just below Hollywood the others get past them and go like hell. Some day one of these drivers is going to kill a pedestrian then maybe the powers to be will do something about this "Lake Mead Speed."
