Organizers plan to add parade to Gay Pride festival

"It's time," said spokeswoman Kaye Crawford. "Community support for (the event) has been very strong and growing. Everyone wanted to know when we were going to add the parade."
Organizers on Saturday began planning for the event, which will be held Aug. 21 at Wingfield Park.
The theme of the third annual festival is "Step Off the Curb and March for Freedom."
