Two California men die in accident

The California Highway Patrol said Manfred Ford, 26, and Clifton Sing, 29, died Friday on Highway 89 after their car skidded across Highway 89 and slammed broadside into an oncoming vehicle.
Investigators said excessive speed was a factor in causing the victims' southbound car to lose control.
The car collided with a northbound sport-utility-vehicle driven by Carl Pryor of Truckee, who escaped with minor injuries.
