Letter: Consumers' time should be worth something, too

However, if we have to sit in the doctor or dentist's office for upwards of three hours, we wait at their convenience. If we take off from work for one of these appointments, we do not get paid.
Suggest to a doctor you plan to charge for having to wait and they put the blame on the front office for overbooking. Who is really to blame? And, if you don't have insurance, the treatment you sometimes get from the office clerk is humiliating.
