Letter: It's not too late for city to plan

The quote by Joe Boteilho about complaints of animals shows he is not familiar with some animals. Maybe that is why he is the manager. A bigger harm to our once rural neighborhoods is the several times a day and night sounds of ambulance and police sirens are heard.
The "odd mix" cited in the headline results from rapid growth. There would be few, if any, complaints about the pig farm if North Las Vegas had followed advice of planners who recommended industrial and commercial manufacturing in the area surrounding the pig farm instead of urban housing.
If it is not too late. North Las Vegas needs to move in that direction.
