Doris May Austin, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 16, 1934, in Los Angeles. A resident for nine years, she was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Donn and Tony Donn; one daughter, Kim S. Cristler; one sister, Louise Hunter; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. services Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

John L. Bergman

John L. Bergman, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 6, 1932, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for four years, he was a retired operations manager at 3M after 33 years and was a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, G. JoAnn; one son, Jon Bergman of Las Vegas; and two sisters, LaVerne Krapp of Omaha and Joanne Swanson of Fort Dodge, Iowa.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in the St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 8901 Del Webb Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. is handling arrangements.

The family request donations to the John L. Bergman Memorial, St. Andrew's Lutheran Church or the National Parkinson's Foundation.

Hans K. Binder

Hans K. Binder, 66, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born May 3, 1932, in Yugoslavia. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired tavern owner-operator.

He is survived by three daughters, Heidi Baker of Chicago, Vicki Touchton of Downers Grove, Ill., and Hilde Binder of Yorkville, Ill.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

Kenneth H. Carpenter

Kenneth H. Carpenter, 70, of Henderson died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Oct. 9, 1928, in Fresno, Calif. A resident for six years, he was a retired owner-operator of an air cleaning business and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie; one daughter, Jennifer Lynn Caringer of Carlsbad, Calif.; two sons, Kenneth Robert Carpenter of Anaheim, Calif., and Ronald Edward Carpenter of Las Vegas; one sister, Barbara Simms of Prunedale, Calif.; one brother, George Carpenter of San Francisco; and 11 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Rita Marie Ehre

Rita Marie Ehre, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 21, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 51 years, she was a retired sales clerk in the retail industry where she worked in many local shops and stores in Las Vegas.

She is survived by one son, Kurt P. Ehre of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Myrtle M. Emond

Myrtle M. Emond, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 6, 1936, in Philadelphia. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired newspaper deliverer, past matron of Meshaniny 374 Eastern Star in Woodside, Pa., and a member of the Lucy E. Lyons Court 63 Order of Amaranth, Lake Placid, N.Y.

She is survived by three sons, George M. Emond of Las Vegas, William A. Emond of Sedona, Ariz., and Robert Emond of New Jersey; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Rudolphe H. Gearin

Rudolphe H. Gearin, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 30, 1921, in Lowell, Mass. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired renovator in the computer industry and a World War II Marine Corp veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rita; one son, David Gearin of Las Vegas; one sister, Lillian Gearin of Andover, Mass.; one brother, Armond Gearin of Warwick, R.I.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

John Joseph Graf

John Joseph Graf, 49, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 22, 1949, in Las Vegas. A resident for one year, he was an iron worker.

He is survived by one brother, Robert Graf of New York.

Peter William Haught, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 10, 1923, in Texas. A resident for six months, he was a meat processor and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Haught of Las Vegas.

Deeda Hymes-Neeland

Deeda Hymes-Neeland, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born in Jamestown, N.Y. A resident for 30 years, she was an actress/ comedian, a member of Mensa, Screen Actors Guild, Actors Equity and the Las Vegas Realtor's Association Million Dollar Club.

She is survived by her husband, John.

Hester R. Jones, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 14, 1939, in Kentucky. A resident for 25 years, she was a hotel pantry worker.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Fisher of Vidor, Texas, and Elaine Darnell of Las Vegas; one son, David Wells of Las Vegas; two sisters, Eula Cisney of Vancouver, Wash., and Esther Maggard of Las Vegas; and 14 grandchildren.

Mary Elizabeth Kaminski

Mary Elizabeth Kaminski, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 10, 1923, in Oklahoma. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired computer operator.

She is survived by five sons, Richard Kaminski of El Paso, Texas, Jerry Kaminski and Kent Kaminski, both of Las Vegas, Keith Kaminski of Crows Landing, Calif., and Don Kaminski of Newman, Calif.; one daughter, Charlotte Lewis of Cupertino, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Virginia Marie Kennedy

Virginia Marie Kennedy, of Big Fork, Mont., died Feb. 8 in Big Fork. She was born Dec. 26, 1918, in Sacramento. A former Las Vegas resident for several years, she worked in private casino clubs before moving to Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, William J. "Pete" Kennedy of Big Fork.

Alan D. Lett

Alan D. Lett, 48, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 26, 1950, in Indiana. A resident for many years, he was a disabled Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Norma J. Blacketer, three brothers, Robert Lett, Stephen Lett and Roger Lett, and one sister, Marilyn Blubaum, all of Indiana.

Earl A. McGrew

Earl A. McGrew, 69, of Las Vegas died Feb. 10 in Henderson. He was born July 18, 1929, in Columbus, Ohio. A resident for 34 years, he was a cook and a Korean War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Linda Fendley of Henderson, Kathie Robinson of Mentor, Ohio, and Debbie Thompson of Independence, Mo.; two sons, Mark McGrew and Dennis McGrew, both of Mentor; one brother, Gary McGrew of Ohio; two sisters, Ann Bruce of Georgia and Jean Dunn of West Virginia; and 11 grandchildren.

Michael Monsour

Michael Monsour, 55, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 3, 1944, in Cleveland. A resident for 29 years, he was a gaming industry supervisor.

He is survived by two sisters, Kafa Carney and Zelpha Monsour, both of Cleveland; and three brothers, Noah Monsour and Unis Monsour, both of Cleveland, and Edward Monsour of Las Vegas.

Margaret Moore, 64, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 10, 1935, in Arkansas. A resident for 30 years, she was a nurse.

She is survived by two sons, John Moore Jr. of Henderson and Robert Eric Moore of Las Vegas; two daughters, Beverly Moore and Barbara Moore, both of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Norman Walter Nelson Jr., 58, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1941, in California. A resident for 15 years, he was an Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Justin Nelson; two daughters, Erin Nelson and Kirsten Proffit; his mother, Marjorie Wissner; one sister, Barbara Wissner; and four grandchildren.

Alice C. 'Lottie' Tebbetts

Alice C. "Lottie" Tebbetts, 81, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 2, 1917, in Phoenix. A resident for several years, she was a retired purchasing agent for AMF-Voit, enjoyed bowling and bridge.

She is survived by one daughter, J.M. Jean Wiley; one sister, Gail Sharp of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Leonard LeRoy Turner

Leonard LeRoy Turner, 56, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in North Las Vegas. He was born April 16, 1942, in Missouri. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired government custodial supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Betty C.; four daughters, Paulette Mortin of Sacramento and Sandy Holloway, Nita and Vickie, all of Las Vegas; two sons, Richard Davie and Michael Davie, both of Sacramento; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Eugene C. Viner, 81, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 11, 1917, in St. Louis. A resident for two years, he was a retired director of purchasing for a tool machine company.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis A.; one daughter, Carolyn P. O'Brien of St. Louis; one son, John S. Viner of Henderson; one sister, Edna Lutz of Lafayette, Ind.; and three grandchildren.

Orine H. Walton, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 4, 1920, in El Dorado, Ark. A resident for 58 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Eastern Star Desert Rose Chapter and a member of the Mission Department of Second Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy L. Smith of Las Vegas; three sons, Albert Walton and Freddie Walton, both of Las Vegas, and Charles Walton of Los Angeles; one stepson, Lee Arthur Walton of Columbus, Ohio; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
