New moms can get help from seminars

The Family to Family Connection is offering several seminars for parents of infants.

The program is held at the group's offices, 600 S. Jones Blvd. To register, call 870-9583. The classes are:

Relaxing Touch: Babies who are massaged regularly often cry less and are less colicky. 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Breast Feeding Support: Lactation consultant Ramona Peterson offers information and support to mothers. Noon-2 p.m. Wednesday.

Developmental Screening: Physical therapist Beth Ward will provide information and hands-on demonstrations on how babies up to 1 year old are developing compared with norms. 1:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Healing Power of Touch and Mozart to Improve Baby's IQ: Nurse Kim Fitzgerald will discuss how lullabies, games and other sensory perceptions in infancy can lay the groundwork for what could someday be a love of art or a talent. 9:30 a.m. March 4.

Relationship Skills:- Dianne Farkas will talk about positive communications skills with infants. 2 p.m. March 4.
