President to return to LV

The Nevada Democratic Committee is still working out details of President Clinton's scheduled visit to Las Vegas next month to raise money for the Democratic National Committee.

Clinton will attend a fundraiser March 27 at the home of Las Vegas Sun Editor Brian Greenspun, a friend of the president's since they attended Georgetown University.

"We've been told that he will visit here in March. He will attend a fundraiser in my home, but it's still too early. We don't have all the details worked out," Greenspun said.

The Democratic Party is expecting Clinton's visit to bring about $400,000 to the national committee.

This is not the first time Greenspun has held a fund-raiser for the president. In November 1997, more than $350,000 was raised at gatherings held at the Desert Inn Country Club and Greenspun's Henderson home.

"The President of the United States is always welcome in Nevada, and my friend is always welcome in my home," Greenspun said.
